         jackson Anthony



 Joseph Malsey Jackson Anthony, a Sri Lankan artist from Kongani, is an accomplished artist with many award-winning talents in cinema.  His creations have made a significant contribution to the cultivation of Sri Lankan art.


 Jackson Anthony was born on July 8, 1958, the mother of Rollin Perera, the son of Benedict Anthony of Kongani.  Senaka, Titus, Sudath and Saman Anthony are his brothers.

 Jackson Anthony is married to Kumari Munasinghe as his partner and she is an actress as well as a singer.  They also have one daughter and two sons.

 Jackson Anthony received his primary education at Hapugoda Primary School and St. Mary's College, Bandarawela and later at Galahitiyawa National School.

 He started his acting career on stage and has acted in Merced Madura Jawanika Loma Hansa White Terror.  Very attractive - he has also contributed to the field of teledramas.

 In addition to acting, Jackson Anthony was the creative director of Swarnavahini.  In addition, he has served as an External Lecturer at the University of Colombo, as an Assistant Librarian and as a lecturer at St. Joseph's College.  He is currently the Managing Director of Creative Helenka, one of his own production companies.


 Jackson Anthony has also made a name for himself as a director of film teledramas - including Juliet's role in Aba Address No Films and also directed teledramas such as Esala King Daskon C Raja.

 He has received numerous awards in Sri Lanka for his outstanding performances - including Best Nava Award for Stage Drama, Vijaya Rupavahini Award for Teledrama, Unda Award, Sumathi Award, Best Nava Award for Cinema - Osiasi Award for Cinema  Presidential Award Sagnees Award Derana Awards Best Nava Award.

 In addition, he has presented his talents as an announcer as well as a writer - an artist named Jackson Anthony is also a master of art and has created comics for newspapers in the early days.
